34th JOB168.COM HR Manager Club Event

Theme: How Can HR Enhance Its Value Within an Enterprise?

Event Introduction

HR departments often spend a significant amount of time on administrative tasks, leaving little room for strategic planning, management techniques, and HR development. This inevitably weakens the position of HR within corporate management – and this is precisely one of the awkward predicaments that HR faces today. As a senior HR manager, how can you increase business value through effective communication, performance-based training, HR management, and other means, truly becoming a strategic partner to the business units, a technical advisor, and an internal public relations expert, thereby elevating the value of both your department and you within the organization?

For this session of the Job168.com HR Manager Club, we invited an overseas expert – Mr. James Chin, a Singaporean internationally renowned professional trainer and mentor – to share his years of experience directly with our corporate clients and to impart his unique HR management "secrets" through interactive sessions.

Post-Event Coverage

The long‑anticipated first salon co‑hosted by Job168.com and the Southern Talent HR Club was successfully held on July 11. The large conference hall on the 4th floor of Huapu Building was packed to capacity, with HR managers and department heads from various industries gathering together for an enjoyable afternoon.

At 2:00 pm sharp, a PPT presentation from Singapore International Consulting & Training (ICT) began playing. Shortly after, the host gave a grand introduction, and the HR salon officially commenced. Mr. James Chin took the stage as ICT's Chief Trainer, greeted by warm applause from the audience. After a brief self‑introduction, he directed everyone's attention to the ICT teaching assistants and colleagues, giving the attendees a preliminary understanding of the team.

Given the limited time available, the salon's schedule was quite compact. Through vivid experience‑sharing and several experiential activities (such as "Left and Right Hands," "Finding the Target," and "Jumping Out of the Box"), Mr. Chin captivated the attention of every guest in the room. The atmosphere gradually warmed up, and the audience frequently responded with bursts of applause and laughter to his witty and engaging speaking style.

Ms. Huang also shared her past experiences and insights as a trainer, which resonated strongly with many attendees. To boost audience participation and engagement, the session also included group discussions and a Q&A segment, where participants shared the doubts and challenges they faced in their actual work. Through this exchange, they also built a good rapport with one another.

Time flew by, and the three‑hour salon quickly drew to a close. The staff distributed feedback forms and evaluation questionnaires to all guests and also provided additional information to those interested in learning more about ICT's courses. Finally, the HR salon came to a successful end amid enthusiastic applause from all attendees. Everyone looked forward to the next session and another chance to see Mr. Chin and Ms. Huang in action.
