2017 China Human Capital Forum: Leverage Environmental Changes to Drive Business Growth

On the morning of September 22, the 2017 China Human Capital Forum (Yantai Station) grandly kicked off. Co-hosted by China Yantai Human Resources Service Industrial Park and HRoot, China’s largest human resources media company, this summit stands as one of the most high-profile and authoritative leadership events in China’s HR industry. It marked the third time the prestigious forum has been successfully held in Yantai.


Zhang Wenmiao, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Human Resources Market, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China; Yu Xing’an, President of the Chinese Academy of Personnel Science; leaders from the Human Resources Market Division and Academy of Human Resources Science under Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, as well as relevant government officials from Yantai and HR authorities across Shandong Province attended the opening ceremony. Yang Bo, Deputy Secretary of CPC Zhifu District Committee and District Chief, presided over the ceremony, while Wu Chenguang, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Zhifu District Committee and Executive Deputy District Chief, accompanied the activities.


As a top-tier and authoritative leadership summit in China’s HR sector, the forum has drawn extensive attention from CEOs, presidents, HR executives of well-known enterprises across Shandong and the whole nation, together with industry experts, scholars and mainstream media. Having been held for two consecutive years, it has evolved into a premium high-end platform for in-depth interaction and win-win cooperation among enterprises and HR professionals.


This year’s forum gathered representatives from over 800 renowned enterprises at home and abroad, as well as more than 1,200 industry elites, authoritative practitioners and scholars worldwide. The participating companies included world-famous brands such as Coca-Cola, Vanke, Wanda and Zhubajie.com, alongside leading local enterprises like CIMC Raffles, Jereh Group, Nanshan Group and Luhua Group. Their business portfolios cover the internet, high-tech, financial services and many other sectors.


Centering on cutting-edge topics including the transformation of driving forces in human resources, talent management and talent competition, the forum invited nearly 30 distinguished HR professionals from the Chinese Academy of Personnel Science and global top 100 HR institutions such as KSB, DDI and LinkedIn. The event featured 13 wonderful keynote speeches and 3 in-depth panel discussions.


A dedicated HR Service Exhibition was set up on site, where more than 20 leading HR service providers including DDI, LinkedIn and Career International showcased their booths, delivering on-site HR solutions, business consultation and product demonstrations. In addition, the main venue launched a special promotion and detailed interpretation of the "Zhifu Talent Program" via dedicated booths.


Throughout the 2017 China Human Capital Forum (Yantai Station), dozens of senior HR executives from Fortune Global 500 companies, world-renowned enterprises and leading global HR service providers delivered 14 impressive keynote speeches and 3 insightful panel discussions. The forum attracted a total of 84,673 HR professionals. Among them, 1,265 on-site participants included CEOs, Chief Human Resources Officers, General Managers, directors, HR presidents, HR directors and HR managers from well-known enterprises, while 83,408 HR executives joined the event via live stream.


Furthermore, a special Future of HR Art Exhibition was held onsite, displaying 33 paintings depicting the future of the human resources industry, which attracted crowds of participants to stop for viewing and lively discussions.
